Introduction
This document provides a comprehensive guide for managing over-allocated orders within the InterFulfillment system. Over-allocated orders occur when there is insufficient inventory to fulfill a customer's order. It is crucial for our customers to monitor and manage these orders to prevent unintended shipments, especially when an order is canceled on the customer's sales platform but not within the InterFulfillment system.
1. Understanding Over-Allocated Orders
Over-allocated orders are those for which insufficient stock is available to fulfill the order. These orders will automatically ship once inventory is replenished. However, if these orders are canceled on the customer's sales platform, they will not automatically be canceled in the InterFulfillment system, potentially leading to unwanted shipments.
2. Checking Over-Allocated Orders
To view over-allocated orders in your account, follow these steps:
Log into the InterFulfillment Portal.
Navigate to Orders: Use the left-side menu to go to Order > Find Orders
.
Use Filters: In the 'Find Orders' section, apply filters to specify your warehouse. Then, navigate to "Search by Order Details" and select "Over".
View Results: The grid will display all Over-Allocated orders for the selected warehouse.
3. Managing Over-Allocated Orders
3.1 Split Allocation
If you wish to ship an order without all items included, email support@interfulfillment.com with your order number to request a split allocation.
3.2 Order Cancellation
To cancel an over-allocated order, email support@interfulfillment.com with your order number to request a cancellation.
Note: Managing these requests promptly is crucial to prevent unwanted shipments.
4. Responsibilities and Liabilities
InterFulfillment strives to ship over-allocated orders as soon as inventory becomes available. However, the customer's responsible for managing their over-allocated orders, especially those canceled on their sales platform. InterFulfillment cannot differentiate between orders canceled on your platform and those that are not and is not liable for unintended shipments of over-allocated orders.
For further assistance, please contact InterFulfillment support, but remember the importance of regularly monitoring your over-allocated orders to avoid any mishaps.
